Sweet Bamboo was born in New York City with a simple belief — great food should be fast, consistent, and crafted with care.

Growing up around Chinese take-out culture, we saw both the beauty and the challenges behind the kitchens that feed our communities every day. Traditional Chinese take-out is beloved, but behind the scenes, it often depends on hard-to-find skilled chefs, long hours, and inconsistent quality. We asked ourselves a question:

What if we could build a modern Chinese restaurant brand that delivers the same comfort, flavor, and authenticity — but with technology and smart systems that bring consistency and speed to every dish?

So in 2023, we opened our first Sweet Bamboo. We started small: two woks, a handful of team members, and a dream to reinvent the take-out experience. We focused on re-engineering every step of the process — from ingredient prep to cooking technology — so that every dish could be prepared in minutes, with the same taste every time. No matter who is working in the kitchen, the food should always taste amazing.
